Our Story
i3Legal was founded in 2023 by James Stephenson, a lawyer who has spent more than two decades advising businesses on complex commercial matters — in private practice and as Head of Legal at a global technology company. His work has spanned fintech, SaaS and high-growth companies across regulated sectors, and he understands, from the inside, what growing businesses actually need from their legal counsel.
i3Legal is what James built when he decided there was a better way to deliver it.

How It Works
The Legal Director Service is a fractional model. Rather than hiring a full-time Legal Director or instructing a traditional law firm, you have a senior lawyer working with your business for the hours you need each month — remotely, integrated into your team and focused entirely on your business.
